JoyJoy's Birthday according to my camera!
We celebrated JoyJoy's birthday yesterday, it was a little (just a smidge... ok, 9 days, boo) belated. Anyway, this is the inaugural practical usage of my new camera! Religious readers of my blog (for example, me) will know that I had been taking inconsequential photos of various inanimate objects in my house (yes, most people who've seen my dog Nikey qualify him as inanimate as well, albeit an inanimate object that can ingest just about anything in any quantity). Thus, isn't it thoroughly refreshing to have pictures to see that don't involve my remote or the Snapple bottle on my desk! Whee, here goes:

This is what Jiamin ate for lunch earlier in the day. Yes, most people who've seen this photo have said it looks more like what Jiamin ate for lunch earlier in the day and then threw up later in the day. But no, it is indeed food. Tasty food too, I gather, considering it's from the 'good' and (inexplicably quite foggy) chicken rice stall atop Far East Plaza.

This is Celeste who had just arrived. Shortly after, we were attacked by a person trying to screw us over with a supposedly new genuine Calvin Klein fragrance, curiously called MK1 and offensively pungent. I knew what was coming all along but just wanted to know why my father actually bought one last month at the airport. Swindlers, these sales people. Tsk.

This is Celeste's lunch. Yup, my friends have a penchant for particularly gross-looking food. Celeste said this is nice too. I took her word for it.

The birthday girl, JoyJoy! She looks radiant and slightly orange in this photo. (bad white balance or jaundice?)

Jiamin's impression of a Piranha. Quite convincing actually. Kinda frightened Ronald.

This is our tau huey break after watching Monster-in-law, which was trite and contrived but ultimately mildy entertaining (Monster-in-law, not the tau huey).
Edit: This is JoyJoy in her natural hue.
