ibook, but inotstupid.

Got my ibook yesterday. Yet I'm still typing this entry from my trusty albeit crash-prone PC.

When I opened my ibook eagerly when I got home, to my consternation, there was a... wait for it... BRIGHT PIXEL! Of all things unacceptable on a computer, this would rank pretty high on my list. Dead pixels annoy me, bright ones just piss me off. I promptly called my dear 'evangelists' (No, I don't know why they call themselves that) at Apple Centre to give them a taste of my renowned tongue-lashing skills. To my consternation, they said that 1 bright pixel (which are btw way way way more annoying then an off-state dead pixel) is not sufficient for the DOA (Dead on Arrival, you know like combat rations?) requirement which mandates at least 1 dead pixel.

So all was well, as I resigned myself to a fate of ridicule by fellow friends I laughed at before for buying computers with dead pixels. I pottered along to explore the, come to think of it, rather user-friendly but stunted GUI of mac OS X. But when I wanted to try out my Bjork DVD, to my consternation, it said something about me inserting a blank DVD and that ibooks don't burn DVDs. I thought maybe macs just don't play DVDs out-of-the-box. I was sure I can download some crack later anyway.

So all was well and I pottered along again to try out some CDs I haven't been listening to. To my consternation. my Yo-yo Ma Bach Cello Suite no. 6 sounded like Linkin Park. So did Bjork's Vespertine, albeit whimsically accompanied by female orgasmic yelping. I hate Linkin Park, Bjork's orgasmic accompaniment notwithstanding.

What a terribly consternated day. This baby is going back man! For goodness sake, just because I'm enjoying the student discount doesn't mean you give me a refurbished one lah. inotstupid you know.
